Indiana, PA – In solidarity with the national People’s March in Washington, DC, the Indiana County Democratic Committee (ICDC) will host a local march on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Starting with guest speakers along the sidewalk at IRMC Park, the group will then proceed to Philadelphia St.
We may march for different reasons, but we share the same purpose as the national march, which is to defend our rights and secure our future.
The ICDC invites the community to join the People's March-Indana if they believe in the right to make personal decisions about their own bodies, keeping books in libraries, healthcare as a fundamental right for all, the power of free speech and protest to uphold democracy, and building an economy that works for the people who drive it.
Sign-Making Workshop
In preparation for the march, the ICDC will host a sign-making workshop on Thursday, January 16, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. at their headquarters located at 572 Philadelphia St., Indiana. This open-house-style event encourages participants to bring their own supplies and create signs that amplify their voices.
The People’s March–Indiana aims to demonstrate resilience and resistance while inspiring, energizing, and driving positive change.
