Since Kamala Harris joined the race for President, thousands of volunteers have signed up across the country to insure she and other Democrats win in November. Join the masses to help make a difference. Here are some opportunities.
Phone Banking, Door-to-Door, and Yard Signs
From now through the election, the Headquarters of the Indiana County Democratic Committee (ICDC) will host phone banking every Sunday night. Closer to the election, additional times will be added. To sign up or if you have questions, contact the ICDC Field Director, Eric Baker.
Likewise, contact Eric if you are able to do door-to-door canvassing or would like to display yard signs for any of the Democratic Party campaigns including Harris (President), Casey (Senator), DePasquale (Attorney General), Kenyatta (Auditor General), McClelland (Treasurer), Dziados (U.S. House 14th District), or Womer (U.S. House 15th District). Signs available may be limited but will provide them as best we can.
Get Out the Vote
There is also a non-partisan project to register voters and will be held at various places across the County. Registration deadline in Pennsylvania is October 21. If you are able to assist, send an email with your interest.
Postcard Project
An extensive postcard addressing project is already underway. ICDC District Rep Zoe Richie is heading that project. Please email her if you are able to assist with this either at one of the parties planned or on your own at home.
Fairs, Festivals, More
We also need a good number of volunteers to staff the numerous fairs and festivals at which we will be represented. They include the Knotweed Festival, Indiana County Fair, Hoodlebug Festival, Northern Appalachian Folk Festival, and the Cookport Fair. If you can volunteer a couple hours or more for any of these events, email the ICDC directly and we will share your information with the individual organizing your event of interest. Also let us know if there are other festivals you can organize for the Party.
