This is the year that voters elect the people who manage the local elections at the precinct level.
If you would like to serve as Judge of Elections at your precinct, please go the the Indiana County Elections Office in the basement of the courthouse and pick up a petition packet for this important office. You need a minimum of 10 signatures from your neighbors to get on the ballot as the Democratic candidate.
Petitions must be completed and delivered to the couthouse by March 11. Training and a small stipend is provided to those elected. More information is available at the County Elections Office.
Come to the new Democratic Office on Thursday from noon to 6 pm or Saturday for our Open House from 10 am to 2 pm if you have questions about the petition process.
Once you qualify to be on the ballot, you can talk with others in your precinct and tell them why you would like to serve in this role. Many precincts in the county have Republicans in this position. We need to fill more of these seats with Democrats.
